Energy Bar - The Healthy Choice

Supporting Schools

Energy Bar is more than just a self service system – we take a responsible approach to children's health and education.

Energy Bar supports three of the five objectives of the National Healthy Schools Programme's Healthy Living Blueprint.

Objective How Energy Bar Can Help

1. To promote a school ethos and environment which encourages a healthy lifestyle

Energy Bar's vibrant design, affordability and convenience makes healthy choices easy and appealing for children

3. To ensure the food and drink available across the school day reinforces the healthy lifestyle message

Energy Bar provides tasty food and drink products with valuable nutrients to sustain children through the day:

•  Breakfast cereals provide energy and important vitamins and minerals

•  Fruit juices, smoothies and fruit bars are a great way for children to get towards the government's recommended ‘5 a Day' servings of fruit and vegetables

•  Milk provides protein and a range of vitamins and minerals, especially calcium, which is important for healthy bones and teeth

5. To promote an understanding of the full range of issues and behaviours which impact upon lifelong health

We encourage children to get involved, and support teachers in raise awareness of healthy eating issues

We also take a responsible approach to the environment. With direct input from children, we have designed Energy Bar to use as little packaging and waste as possible.
We work in partnership with schools and help them to get the most from Energy Bar. Schools can earn revenue as well as benefiting from healthier, better focused children – a double whammy!
